Costa Rica Trip
About our trip to Costa Rica
We went to Costa Rica with Jess’ Mom and Stepdad. The tickets were found on an incredible sale, about $400 each person roundtrip! The parents did most of the trip planning, so we were along for the amazing ride. We had so many excursions and tours planned, it was a jam-packed trip along the West Coast of beautiful Costa Rica.
When: November 2015
Why: We had all wanted to visit the country, and when the ticket sale was found, we jumped on the opportunity!
How Long: 9 Days
Most surprised us: The wildlife viewing on this trip was insane. We got to see so many different animals for the first time, in their natural habitat and some in sanctuaries. The country is absolutely stunning as well.
Most disappointed us: Our white water rapids experience could have been more enjoyable and less terrifying, but on the bright side, we have an interesting story from it.
Would we do it again: It was an incredible trip, planned so well by the parents. We exhausted so much of the areas we stayed in, we do not think we would return to the areas we did, but would absolutely explore more of the country in the future!
Would we recommend it: Absolutely. There are so many adventure options no matter what experience the traveler is looking for. The locals are incredibly friendly, the food is hearty and comforting, the country is gorgeous, and it is cheap to travel! What’s not to love?
