Since we had already hit the cliffs the day before, we headed back to Limerick, which we skipped on the way to Doolin. Some of the family stayed in Doolin to hit the cliffs and do some shopping. So, the parents, Mike and I explored the Limerick castle, which was well preserved and run as a museum. The museum was interesting and the views from the top of the castle of the city below were worth the small admission price.
After, the parents wanted to hit the abbey nearby and Mike and I wanted to see downtown. So, we parted for a couple hours. Mike and I wandered the city, though turned around as we hit downtown when it turned into chains of restaurants and stores. Instead, we got coffee at Abbey River Coffee and enjoyed a slow afternoon.
