For our full day in Clifden, the family wanted to hit the Kylemore Abbey just north of us. It is a beautiful, pristine abbey kept so well it looks new.
Mike and I were not interested in the tour, so we dropped them off and instead hit the Connemara Forest park for a hike. We completed two hikes, the first was the Sruffaunboy walk (1.5km) giving us views from up high, and the Ellis Wood Nature Trail (.5km), which was down through the flora of the region.
We drove back to town to have dinner with the parents at Guy’s Bar and Snug- another empty restaurant with great food again. Everyone except me got a seafood chowder full of all types of seafood while I had the lamb burger.
We finished the night at the Griffin’s Bar, a local pub for drinks and more live Irish music
