Slovenia and Portugal Trip
Day 8 - May 11 2023
For our last morning in Slovenia, we had breakfast at Slovenia House, the same cafe we had those awesome charcuterie boards at earlier in the week. We had their patio to ourselves since it was cold and rainy. We ordered the Zanker coffee (seemed like a large Turkish coffee), the Shephards breakfast with eggs, spinach, and cheese as well as the breakfast sandwich with local sausage. We were pretty bummed to be leaving and dreading more flights, but excited for the second half of our trip!
The drive to the airport was easy, dropping off the car was a breeze and we had ONE person going through security at the same time as us. The Ljubljana airport is an amazingly small airport, but has all the stuff you would want in it. We sipped espresso and bought some local chocolate while we waited for our plane.
After two flights, a 4-hour layover in Munich, a 30-minute Uber ride, we made it to the Airbnb at 11PM. We immediately cleaned up and went to sleep.
