Thailand and Cambodia Trip
About our trip to Thailand and Cambodia
We traveled Thailand and Cambodia with Jess’ Dad and Stepmom. They had lived in Thailand and we begged them to show us around for our Honeymoon. We tied in Siem Reap, Cambodia as it was a short flight from Bangkok and seemed like an incredible experience. We had so many adventures and fell in love with Thailand. This trip really fueled our desire to travel internationally and emboldened our passion to do so!
When: December 2014
Why: For our Honeymoon! We had both always wanted to visit Thailand and were gifted this amazing trip as a wedding present.
How Long: 3 weeks
Most surprised us: This was our first time out of North America, so pretty much everything surprised us, in the best way, of course!
Most disappointed us: Koh Phi Phi was the only true disappointment on this trip. We much preferred the more laid-back vibe of Koh Lanta and Ao Nang. The party island scene just isn’t our thing.
Would we do it again: In a heartbeat. We look forward to visiting Krabi and Koh Lanta again in the future!
Would we recommend it: We would recommend everywhere we visited on this trip to others, with the exception of Koh Phi Phi. The food was incredible, the people were kind and welcoming, the country was stunning, and the beaches were breathtaking.
